From the Project Manager
Partnerships are ensuring that the TCO network continues to provide opportunities for people living in rural and regional Tasmania to access lifelong learning opportunities. The E-learn partnership with TAFE Tasmania, training in the use of online banking services with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and in the State Governments online service portal, Service Tasmania Online are but some examples of these learning opportunities.
The role of the Online Access Centres in providing a high quality of service delivery has been acknowledged through a number of awards. Seven Centres received regional recognition through the States Learning Together Awards for Educational Excellence with Scottsdale OAC receiving a State Award.
Most Centres have staff with adult training qualifications, experienced in the flexible delivery of individualised programs and the provision of high quality local learning support. I look forward to the further growth of the TCO networks role in adult and community education and training provision for Tasmanians unable to access these services due to location or personal circumstances.
