http://www.lcg.org.au
The Launcesto Computer Group Inc formerly known as the Launceston IBM Users Group was formed in September 1989 by a number of IBM Clone users who found little support in the area.
In December 2000 the Launceston Macintosh Users Group (LaMUG) merged with the Group.

The Group is a non-profit organisation that is run by a committee elected each year by the members.

The Launceston Computer Show has been run each year and in 2002 the 10th Annual Show was run.The Show was put into temporary recess in 2003 and 2004. Planning is underway to continue from 2005

Meetings currently are held in Studio Works 1 Pipeworks Road, Launceston on the first Wednesday of each month.

Formerly the meetings were held on the first Friday at the Adult Education Centre in York St, and in September 1999, we moved to the Launceston On Line Access Centre and changed to the first Wednesday monthly.

The Group produces a newsletter of about 16-20 pages monthly which is available to members by email included in the annual subscription (Presently $10 per annum). Members without access to email or who wish to receive the newsletter printed and posted are charged a furter $20 per annum.
