Community Service / Star FM Community Radio

http://www.starfm.org.au
Star FM broadcasts 24 hours a day 365 days a years, crossing via satellite to the Community Radio Australia wide throughtout the night. From 7am to 6pm we play a mix of music from the late 1960s to current release material. From 6pm to 9pm our speciality programs go to air catering for select tastes such as Neville's Country Corner, Rocking with Roger, Dr Sax Smooth Jazz, National Top 40, Alternator, Hot Country and Dave's Blues mix.
Star FM initially went to air in April 2002. It is unique in that it is the only audible community radio station on the east coast. Access to a community radio station has effectively enhanced and strengthened relationships between the towns in the Break O'Day Municipality and Bicheno and has provided a medium through which local businesses, schools, sporting clubs and organisations can communicate with the community on a regular basis. Star FM has fast become an integral part of this isolated region providing a "voice" for a diverse and rapidly growing community.
