Community Service / Spring Bay Combined Probus Club Inc


The Spring Bay Combined Probus Club established in 1985 is an association of retired and semi-retired people who join together in Clubs, the basic purpose of which is to provide regular opportunities to keep their minds active , expand their interests and enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

PROBUS originated in the UK in 1965, and is now a world-wide movement, its phenomenal growht filling a need for todays active retirees.

There are Men's Probus clubs, Ladies Clubs and Combined Clubs. They are a non-profit making and non fundraising organisation; which are also non political and non sectarian. They are sponsored by Rotary and on formation are self governing whilst remaining within the limits of their constitution.

Members pay an annual fee and an entry fee at each meeting which covers the costs involved in the hiring of premises and any food/beverage provided.

Meeting Schedule
Meetings held at the Blue Waters Hotel,Tasman Highway, Orford on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (excepting January) at 10am, consisting of a short business session, morning tea and then an interesting guest speaker or other entertainment.

On the third wednesday on alternate months there is normally a visit to a place or organisation of interest, followed by lunch.


Membership open to
Membership is open to anyone with good charater and who has had some achievement in any field of worthy endeavour.
Interested persons are suggested to attend several meetings as a visitor before deciding to join as a member.
