Family Child and Youth Health Service is open every day Monday to Friday

. School Health - vision/hearing assessments

Alcohol & Drug Service (half day per week: Mon. afternoons) Ph: 6222 7511
A Drug & Alcohol Counsellor provides advice, counselling, information and support. Appointments necessary.

Clare House (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) Ph: 6233 8612
1 day per fortnight. Provides assistance to children and young people under 18 with mental health needs.

Family Youth and Child Health Nursing Service
Clinic 5 days /week, Birth -3- 5 years: support with breast-feeding, parenting issues etc. Home visits to all areas. Outreach to Bothwell, Oatlands

New parents groups. Fun, Fittness & Friendship activities for parents of under school age children.

School screening: Vision & Hearing. Enuresis clinic information available.

Mental Health Service (5 days per week)
The Derwent Valley Mental Health team offers service for clients with mental illness within the
Brighton Municipality. Staff includes a Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse and Social Worker
Referral to this service may be made via Mental Health Helpline 1800 332 388

Physiotherapy (3 days per week)
Medical referral needed to attend this service. Hire of nebulisers, crutches and TNS available for a
small fee.

Podiatry (1 day per fortnight)
Referral needed from Doctor, Physiotherapist, or Child Health Nurse.

Alcohol & Drug Service Monday [appointments necessary])

Relationships Australia, Personal Support Programme, Mission Australia, Colony 47, Centacare, Job Net, Good Beginnings - [appointments necessary]
Provides a wide range of professional confidential counselling services including: Relationship counselling and problems related to gambling.

Social Work Service (For age group 16 years and up)
5 days per week: Counselling, support, information, advocacy and referral in times of difficulty or crisis.
Counselling on issues such as anger management, grief and loss, family conflict, anxiety and stress. Appointments advisable.
Group sessions on topics such as understanding anxiety, relaxation, communication skills, and general health issues.

Cooperative working relationship with other community organisations to change things that impact on the community.

One day per fortnnight. Referral [via Calvary Hospital] - appointments necessary.
