Woodbridge Soccer Club was formed in 2001 as the Woodbridge Whalers Soccer Club in order to provide sporting opportunities for children in the South Channel area. Since then the club has added youth teams to the line up (2004), a men's team (2008) and finally a women's team (2010).
The name Woodbridge Soccer Club was adopted in 2008 to reflect the Club's growth from a junior club to a more inclusive organisation.
