Local History / Geeveston Archives & History Society Inc

http://groups.google.com.au/group/geeveston-archives-history-society?hl=en
We are a 100% self-funded, unpaid voluntary community group who seek to collect and preserve the history of Geeveston and surrounding districts. The collection will contain pictorial, literary, oral histories, genealogy, ephemera, and memorabilia relating to our district, as well as Tasmaniana and Australiana items of general interest.

Due to our lack of a permanent base from which we would be able to share our collection, we rely solely on holding public displays throughout the year, however, if you have a particular query, we can be reached at our postal address, and research/information requests can be arranged from this initial point of contact. Please be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope, and as much detail as possible regarding your request. Thankyou.
