The four main strategies of Neighbourhood Watch are:
Deterrence - By the erection of Neighbourhood Watch signs, letterbox/fence plates and the placement of stickers on house windows and items of value.
Operaton Identification - By engraving tools and electrical goods ect, with the drivers licence number of the householder.
Education - Through home security nights and the publication of a regular newsletter.
Vigilance - Residents of a Neighbourhood Watch are encouraged to report suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.
