Community Service / Don Memorial Hall Controlling Authority


The Don Memorial Hall has a seating capacity of 200. The supper room should only accomodate 60 people at any one time. Crockery, pie heater, stove, fridge and 3 urns are included in the hiring charges. There is wheelchair access into the Hall and one toilet for the disabled is available. There is no public phone in the Hall.

There are strict rules to be obeyed such as:
* no alcohol
* no food or drink in the Hall (all food and drinks are to be consumed in the supper room)
* no smoking anywhere in the Hall
* no animals may be brought into the Hall

Hiring Charges (all prices include GST):
$55.00 - Dances and balls
$71.50 - Markets
$11.00 - Meetings for 3 hours
plus $5.00 for each hour thereafter
$22.00 - Fairs (for charities)
$50.00 - Bond (required)

Any person or organisation wishing to hire the hall MUST produce an insurance policy (or a letter certifying that they have a current poilcy) with coverage of ten million. Any person wishing to hire the Hall on a casual basis (ie once per year) can be covered by paying an extra $15.00 when hiring the Hall.
