The Meander Valley Enterprise Centre Inc. is a local organisation whose aim is to encourage Small Businesses and Job Creation by giving selected free and confidential advice to new and existing businesses throughout the Meander Valley Municipality in areas such as:- Finance Business Planning Marketing and Sales Premises Statutory Requirements Officialdom Promotion Employment and Personnel Insurance Invention and new Ideas Training HOW CAN WE HELP YOU? By having access to the maze of Government Departments and Schemes important information about assistance and requirements can be obtained through the Centre. Some business starters may be eligible for assistance through the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) which can provide financial "priming" in the formative first year of your business. Continuing training is an essential part of success in any organisation. From time to time training courses will be undertaken to further enhance the area's business potential and viability. SPONSORSHIP The Meander Valley Enterprise Centre offers free advice to its customers. This service is partly funded by the Federal Government, the Meander Valley Council and its own sources. Why get involved? Industry and commerce cannot operate in a vacuum. They are part of society and have a direct interest and responsibility in their community's well-being and stability. But perhaps more importantly concern for the community is increasingly regarded as a key investment for an organisation's future. Businesses are not likely to prosper unless the communities where they sell their goods and services and recruit their employees have a sound economic base. Business involvement can best be concentrated on helping small firms with advice and assisting new enterprises. How to become involved Sponsor Members can support this work in several ways:- by contributing financially; by persuading other companies to support the M.V.E.C.; by sponsoring brochures events or special projects; by contributions in kind e.g. office equipment furniture printing and other services. Major Sponsors are Federal Government, Municipality of Meander Valley, Ian Huett Amcal Pharmacy, and Rotary Club of Deloraine.
