The Central North Field Naturalists is a not for profit community group committed to seriously researching natural history through regular field trips. It also undertakes to educate the wider public about the beauty and importance of all aspects of the natural world through the “The Natural News” a colour newsletter published three times each year, the production of brochures (e.g. Leave logs for frogs and the Tasmanian Platypus Alert), and tapes and CDs (e.g. “Frogs of Tasmania”).
