Clarendon is a National Trust of Australia Tasmania house circa 1838. It is tourism accredited and recently, has been designated a Tasmanian icon. It caters for the general public, school groups, bus tours, and corporate function clientele. A conservatory tearoom is now open. Tours are available either guided or self guided, and the property may be hired out for functions. Guides assist in the gift shop, maintain the gardens. The committee manage the property on behalf of the National Trust. It is also involved with the restoration and conservation of the house.
Special occasions: Heritage festival event in April, Christmas carol function each December, winter concerts in the drawing room from May to October, Tasmania Day, Seniors Week Gold Coin Day, and an annual outing for volunteers.
