Community Service / The Helping Hand Association Incorporated


The Helping Hand Association Inc is a regional emergency relief organisation formed by the local churches (Anglican, Baptist, Catholic and Uniting) to care for singles and families requiring emergency relief. This free service is offered to residents of Longford, Perth, Cressy, Poatina, Bishopsbourne and surrounding rural areas.

Office opens each week day from 10 am to 12 noon with two volunteer staff on duty.

Help is given via interview with our volunteer trained 'welfare counsellor' on call. Objective is to provide assistance to those in crisis. Small government grants are received otherwise all food and cash donated by churches, organisations and local community
