Now the sites are functional, Windmill Hill in Launceston to Low Head at the north of the Tamar river, our focus is the preservation of the Mt Direction site.

The site includes 'station ruins', a walking track, information booth, BBQ facilities and interpretation. The system of 6 semaphore/flag stations is unique and cover a 60 kilometre distance between Launceston and Low Head.
