Legana Tennis Club has 3 courts, all with lighting and a hitting wall, so you can practice on your own, and a comfortable clubhouse with BBQ and picnic facilities. The club provides coaching services for juniors and adults, and has a conscientious and active committee. In 2004 the club was awarded two competitive grants from Tennis Australia and The Australian Sports Commission to develop and promote the club.
The club has a broad membership with players of all standards across juniors, veterans, families and singles. Members are welcome to use the courts at their own convenience and/or join in the regular organised activities:
Monday nights: social games from 6pm.
Tuesday nights: strong hitters social games.
Wednesday mornings: women’s mid-week competition.
Wednesday afternoon: junior coaching, with junior members social games later in the evening.
Thursday evenings: intra-club competition
Saturdays: Tennis North pennant competition
Current annual Club membership fees and charges are:
Single: $70 + Tennis Tasmania levy of $20 per person
Family: $110 + Tennis Tasmania levy $20 per person
Students: $40 + Tennis Tasmania levy $20 per person
Key: $15(optional)
Social tennis: (visitors) $5, members $2
Court Lighting: $6/hour
Ball machine: $5/hr
