The 2007/2008 Little Athletics season for Glamorgan/Spring Bay will begin on Sunday, October 7th and will run through to the beginning of March 2008. Meets will be held on Sunday mornings at 10:30am at the Swansea Recreation Ground, Franklin Street. During January we will run some twilight meets on Sundays at 5pm.
All children aged between 5 and 14 by the 1st October are welcomed to join the Glamorgan/Spring Bay Little Athletics. Events offered include track (sprint, middle distance running, long distance running, hurdles), and field (high jump, long jump, triple jump, javelin, turbo javelin, discus and shot put). Children are encouraged to have a go, the main aims being self-improvement and good sportsmanship. By achieving their personal best they are awarded with badges, which hopefully encourages all children at all levels to participate.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at the meets.
