Community Service / Geeveston Community Centre Inc


The Geeveston Community Centre Inc (GCCI) is administered by a volunteer Committee of Management who meet once a month, and is funded by the Dept. of Health & Human Services. The GCCI has been active for almost 23 years in Geeveston and is a member of the Tasmanian Association of Community Houses (TACH). Business hours are from Monday to Thursday inclusive, from 9am - 4pm. The Outside School Hours program is based on school grounds and the telephone number is 6297 1950 and is funded by Family & Community Services. The Huon Domestic Violence Service is based in Huonville. It is funded by SAAP, a joint Commonwealth/State program and the telephone number is 6264 2222, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.

Meeting Schedule
University of the 3rd Age meet every Wednesday morning at GCCI, from 10am - 12pm, during school terms.
The Family Child Health clinic open session is every Monday from 10am - noon. Appointments can be made for the afternoon.
The Committee of Management meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm.
A Meditation group meets every Friday at 9.45am.
