The Derwent Valley Horse Riders Association is a small Club with members of all ages. We combine an interest in horses with social and informative activities, for example: -
Trail Rides - get to know the local area and areas further afield with short rides, day rides and overnight rides.
Education Days - improve your riding skills and train your horse. Qualified EFA NCAS instructors take group or semi-private lessons in flat work, poles and jumping on the fourth Sunday of each month.
Games Days - lots of family fun!
Horse Shows, Dressage Days, Show Jumping - some of the ways we raise funds for the Club and give members a chance to compete against others.
Derwent Equestrian Centre – our Club in conjunction with the Derwent Pony Club has developed equestrian facilities at Kensington Park in New Norfolk which includes an all-weather arena (double sized), horse yards and tie-rails, shed and the beginnings of a cross-country course. The Derwent Equestrian Centre is securely fenced.
New members most welcome.
Membership gives you an opportunity to take out public liability insurance with the EFA and includes a regular Newsletter covering Horse Care Tips, Coming Club Events, Local News, Club Reports and Club Classified Advertisements. Members have access to the centrally located Derwent Equestrian Centre facilities.
