The Derwent Valley Community House is managed by a part time coordinator and administrative assistant. A community board, with a diverse range of individuals, oversees this management and serves as a reference group.
It is open Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm & Friday 9am-1pm.
Volunteers are welcome to participate in the activities and support the work of community house.
Exciting programs include the:
Community Market-held between 10am-2pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month-great selection of home made goods, plants, bricabrac.
Adult Learning Program-Very successful program working with local tutors to present learning opportunities. Courses range from art, outboard motor maintenance, Spanish, Tai Chi, Get Active Program, baking, bush revegetation, Harmonica and making a felt hat.
Access to TAFE Courses, Claremont College, Hobart City Mission & Hobart Family Relationship Centre.
