Channel Heritage Museum

There are displays and artefacts relating to the timber, fruit growers and scallop industry, farming, shipping in the Channel, the 1967 bush fires, local schools, sporting teams and wartime involvement. The collection of machines, tools, photos, memorabilia and information on the Electrona Carbide Works is unique to our Museum. A colonial kitchen, bedroom and early wash house & bathroom have been set up to depict homelife in years past. The library has a collection of books, photos, maps and newspaper clippings relating to Channel history. It is used for research into local family history and school projects.
