Canoe Tasmania is the peak body for Canoeing in Tasmania. It is affiliated with Australian Canoeing and represents the interests of clubs and canoeists generally including in relaion to access to rivers, on water safety issues and in increasing the recognition for canoeing as a safe, enjoyable recreation and form of tranpsort.

Canoe Tasmania acts to improve safety and enjoyment through delivery of a range of canoe education programs under the nationally accredited Australian Canoeing Award Scheme. Canoe Tasmania also hosts and runs major canoeing events such as the national Slalom and Wildwater Racing Championships.

In 2009 Canoe Tasmania is hosting the six race Wildwater World Cup on behalf of the International Canoe Federation.

It is a statewide, not for profit organisation with a board elected by its member clubs.

Meeting Schedule
The Board of Canoe Tasmania meets several times a year, normally in conjunction with significant canoeing events. Meetings are open to members of affiliated clubs in Tasmania, but not to the general public.
