Howrah Bowls Club is situated at the Howrah Sunshine Recreation Centre on the Eastern Shore of the River Derwent, near Hobart in Tasmania.
The Club has both a lawn green and a newly laid synthetic green. This allows bowls to be played all year round.
Pennant and mid-week competitions are played during the summer period with social bowls being played during the winter months.
Social bowls is an important feature of the Club al year round with both men and ladies participating.
Bowls is a game for both young and not so young -
Harry Street (86 yrs) & Jason Scarr (11yrs)
As a member of Howrah Bowls Club you are also a member of the Howrah Sunshine Recreation Centre, and have access to all the facilities that the Centre provides, including bar facilities.
