The support group was established in 1991 to ensure that the needs and concerns of Filipino women living in Tasmania are met and dealt with. The group provides support and advocates for women.
The group meets for its management meeting and organised activities. Activities include information sessions, workshops, informal gatherings like celebration of Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, and Christmas. Guests from local, state and commonwealth governments are invited to discuss issues that are significant to migrants.
