A voluntary self-help group to assist those who have undergone ileostomy, colostomy and/or urostomy surgery, offering mutual aid and support in overcoming difficulties after such surgery. Provides necessary stoma appliances and pharmaceutical products to members; these are free of charge via the Commonwealth Stoma Appliance Scheme.
A National magazine is sent to members 3 times per year, plus a quarterly local newsletter.

Quarterly meetings are held as follows:
3rd Saturday in February - Repatriation Centre, Hobart
3rd Saturday in May - St Vincents Hospital, Launceston
2nd Saturday in August - Repatriation Centre, Hobart
2nd Saturday in November - St Vincents Hospital, Launceston
at 2pm, lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. |
Membership open to
Membership is open to ostomates, members of their families and members of the nursing or medical profession. |
