Community Overview
MISSION STATEMENT
The Wilmot Online Acces Centre aims to deliver information techonology to people living in, and tourists passing through our community. We provide access and training to all in the use of computers and associated technology.
PROFILE OF THE COMMUNITY
Wilmot is located approximately a 35 min drive South West of Devonport. Wilmot has a population of approximately 450. Members of the community are from a variety of backgrounds and they use the Online Access Centre for many purposes. Major industries in the area are agriculture, forestry and tourism. Tourists pass through Wilmot on their way to Cradle Mountian a major tourism attraction in the area. Lake Barrington is also a local tourist attration, particularly in the summer months.
The Online Centre is situated on the Wilmot Primary School grounds and has varying opening hours with the assistance of the Volunteers and an employed Coordinator.
