| October edition of Maydena Moving ahead |
A strong volunteering effort has been a shown with The Rail Track Riders Project (RTR) – Volunteer construction has built a prototype rider with a second under-way.
Over the last 16 months the RTR (volunteer) steering committee has been working closely with two government departments (D.I.E.R.) 1.The Rail Management Branch 2.Rail Safety Unit. The steering committee has now achieved a major goal of reusing a 2.5 km section of rail track; a conditional licence is to be signed by the MCA and the Minister for Transport soon.
