Volunteers


Devonport Online values the contribution of our highly skilled volunteers.

Since opening our doors in May 1998, our volunteer team has donated over 46,000 hours of their time to assist members of our community to gain skills in using computers and the internet.

Mena Essex

Volunteering at the Online Centre on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Volunteers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is studying for Certificate II in Business.

I come in Tuesdays and Wednesday to study Certificate ii in Business.

Ben Gilbert

Ben has had ten years of experience in computers and is happy to share his knowledge to help people any way he can.


Brigid Holmes

Brigid has been helping out with the Seniors Sessions at Devonport Online since February l998. She particularly likes communicating with people and finds the chat lines a constant source of entertainment!! Brigid is a member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists and plays a mean game of golf at the Devonport Golf Course.


Tracey James

Tracey helps out at Devonport Online every Monday afternoon, she has very good computer skills and is keen to help others learn about the internet. Tracey likes to help other people in the community to improve their skills. Recently Tracey has completed Certificate II in IT and Business.


Rodney Law

Rod volunteers every Saturday and helps organise and run LAN Games Sessions.


Michael Lawler

Michael has been with the Centre since early 2003. Michael is currently studying, but continues to volunteer on Saturday Mornings.


John Medwin

John has been with Devonport Online since it opened its doors at the end of May 1998. In his own words John enjoys "assisting wrinklies, like myself, who may be a bit scared of the technology". John particularly likes to help people with email and also has a keen interest in genealogy. He hopes to discipline himself to opportunities to experience this new media.


Colin Norman

Colin is keen to develop his communication skills and pass on some of his knowledge regarding computers. He recently gained employment, but will still volunteer when his other commitments allow.


Greg

Greg has formerly volunteered at the Ulverstone Online Access Centre. He is good with PC hardware and Windows, with plenty of knowledge on the Internet. His interests include PC gaming, gardening and reading.


Staff

Kylie Bosworth

Kylie is the Senior Coordinator. She works Monday-Thursday.


Joanna Apse

Joanna is the Administrative Coordinator for the Centre. She works Tuesday-Friday.
